The Manhattan LP recently endorsed the runs of three hopefuls for Congress. Here's a piece about each on Friction.tv.
Recently in Libertarian Party Category
For better or worse, I was recently elected Chair of the Libertarian Party of New York. As such, I'll probably being doing interviews on the other side of the table or microphone. One such has come up this Friday. One of our former guests, John Wallace, hosts a show on BlogTalk Radio Friday afternoons at 1 PM. American Politics with John Wallace will feature yours truly this Friday. John's show has recently been picked up by Revolution Broadcasting which is an outgrowth of the Ron Paul movement.
In addition I thought it might be a good time to unveil another side project at Capital Outsider, we've established an account at Ustream.tv which allows us to broadcast from the couch, so to speak. So I'll be simulcasting the interview on Ustream. Just click on the icon below (or this link) on Friday and you can see if I got to cleaning up my home office.
Former Senator Mike Gravel, Congressman Bob Barr and the 'King of Las Vegas', Wayne Root will be featured this Friday on the Fox Business Channel in a debate of sorts. Each is seeking the Libertarian nomination for President. All three attended the LPNY convention on April 26th in Flushing Queens. Here's a sample of each that we managed despite all the in house goings on. In order of appearance.
Barr and Root after the jump.
Missouri Viewpoints is a show produced and hosted by Mike Ferguson. It highlights a libertarian perspective in Missouri. Mike has interviewed a number of LP candidates for President this past weekend at the Heartland Convention. I suspect that it will be difficult for Mike Jingozian and Christine Smith to make it to NY, they are from Oregon and Colorado respectively. Here's what they said on Missouri Viewpoints. Mike first and Christine after the jump.
I'm sure this type of pun will hit the mainstream media quite a bit more if former Congressman Bob Barr announces this weekend in Kansas City. While I don't have any personal line to Bob, the rumor mill is indeed humming. In 2006 I met Bob at the Portland Convention. He knew the former Congressman that I was attempting to run against and encouraged me to do so despite that connection. He said it was 'important'. Here's a video I made at the time;
Check out the national LP site this weekend for any news. I'm told there might even be a live feed available.
The announcement is after the jump.
